I never expected to be where I am today.

Growing up, I fell prey to all of our social messaging about health, nutrition, and even manliness.

I never realized that food is the fuel of our life, and that the better we eat, the better we feel.

Instead, I would pound steaks, milkshakes, burgers, and chicken wings. All in the name of “protein” and “feeling manly”.

But instead of feeling strong and manly, what I really felt was:

There were points where, after a ton of meat or dairy, I’d be lying in bed feeling absolutely miserable. I knew I had done that to myself, and eventually I realized that I needed to change if I was going to live a long, healthy, active life.
